If you’re vacationing in Wisconsin Dells but for some reason feeling a little island-y, take a trip to Marley’s. This popular part-family restaurant, part-nightclub delivers, as promised in its logo, “a Taste of the Caribbean.” Bring the family—or, depending on the time of day, just other adults—to this happy and happening place in Lake Delton. Enjoy steaks, ribs and chicken, daily drink specials and fantastic live music and entertainment.
The complex itself is Caribbean-style and includes colorful exterior streetscapes of patios, light posts and tables. Inside, you’ll find The Reef, a multi-level club with a stage, four bars and calendar full of musical acts, DJs, dancing, contests and fundraising events that keep things lively until 2:30 a.m. closing time. More than one bachelor or bachelorette party has wound down here. But Marley’s also attracts visitors day and night simply because of the novelty of a full-blown island motif in the Upper Midwest. And still others come just for the great food.
Marleys has plenty of plates to get your taste buds grooving. Jerk chicken, coconut shrimp, N.Y. strips and succulent crab legs comprise this menu. Menu items cover both land and sea, Jamaican, South of the Border-style and pasta.
The service is friendly and fun, on the restaurant side, and fast and upbeat, on the bar side. If you’ve had your dinner and are ready for some dancing, take a walk on over to the wild side of Marleys. After dark, The Reef turns into a dream-like below-the-sea venue, with soft blue and purple lights, fog and flying pirate ships. The smooth floors and walls reflect waving lights, further evoking the undersea vibe.
The second floor balcony lets you scope out the scene from above, if you like to drink from a distance, and the bars are situated so everyone has access. DJs pump music through overhead speakers and push the party to continue. The dance floor gets crowded, so be prepared to meet some people. Who knows, they may be Bluegreen Vacations owners as well.
Marleys is a place for both locals and tourists to eat, mingle and dance. We recommend grabbing your family and friends and heading over for a nice dinner or fun evening, or both.
