Set Sail on Longer Disney Cruises from Miami

A Disney cruise vacation remains at the top of many families’ bucket lists—And for good reason! Combining the magic of Disney with the stunning tranquility of cruising the high seas is a win-win for all family members. The kids can explore their childish wonder while the parents unwind by the pool; or the whole family can enjoy something together, like character meet and greets and live shows.

As the demand for these all-inclusive vacation experiences rises, Disney has increased their offering. For the first time, Disney Cruise Line guests will be able to enjoy longer, 7-night voyages from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean and Western Caribbean in 2016.

Disney Cruise Line already announced that Disney Magic® and its sister ship Disney Wonder® will be sailing from Miami at different times with primarily four- and five-night cruise itineraries, but now Disney Magic® will also offer seven-night itineraries. These new voyages mark the first time ever that Disney has offered a series of seven-night cruises from Miami.

Castaway Cay—Disney’s private island in the BahamasThe sailings will alternate from Miami to Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Castaway Cay. If you want to enjoy an extended cruise vacation, you can book two itineraries together for a 14-night trip that doesn’t repeat ports other than Castaway Cay—Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. A fifth seven-night sailing from Miami to Tortola; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Castaway Cay will take place towards the end of next year as well.

It offers all the comforts and modern luxuries we’ve come to expect from a top-level cruise ship, and in 2013 it was upgraded to included even more fantastic features: an improved AquaDunk water slide, a Brazilian-themed restaurant, a kids’ club, new splash zone water play areas and new adult nightclubs.

Disney Wonder® Cruise Ship

The Disney Wonder is the sister ship to the Disney Magic with the same 2,700-passenger capacity. Designed with the whole family in mind, you’ll never lack for fun things to do about this ship! Disney Wonder is also distinguished for its modern amenities and elegant details, so you’ll be sailing the seas in luxury.
