It’s autumn and that means the Smoky Mountains are ablaze with the colors of orange, yellow and red. Pumpkin patches have bountiful crops of big gourds just waiting to be carved. And the PEANUTS™ gang invites your family to hop onboard the PEANUTS™ The Great Pumpkin Patch Express for a ride along The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad.
The beloved kids from Charles M. Schulz’s PEANUTS™ comic strips are back again for another season of fun-filled Halloween delights with no frights during the month of October. Every journey begins with a train ride that departs from the Bryson City, Tennessee, Depot en route to The Great Pumpkin Patch, which includes a narration of the classic tale It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Once The Great Pumpkin Patch Express pulls into the station, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy will be waiting to greet you. Be sure to bring your camera and put on a big smile because you’ll have an incredible opportunity to have your picture taken with these popular characters.
Adventures in The Great Pumpkin Patch last 1 hour, 45 minutes and include an awesome selection of family-friendly activities. Gather around the campfire and get ready to toast some fluffy marshmallows. Stick your arms out and receive a temporary tattoo then jump on the back of a wagon for an excursion through the beautiful Smoky Mountains. You’ll also be treated to live music and exceptional entertainment. Younger members of the family will enjoy the coloring station and bounce house. And since Halloween is just around the corner, be sure to wear your very best costume. There will be trick or treating available with plenty of goodies for every kid involved, as well as PEANUTS™ souvenirs for purchase in the Smoky Mountain Trains gift shop.
To make this experience even more enjoyable and memorable, every child will be allowed to select a pumpkin from The Great Pumpkin Patch to take home.
