About Calhoun’s Ribs Restaurant
Calhoun’s offers diners great portions and reasonable prices, all in a setting reminiscent of a mountain lodge. They are located right near all the attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Shopping, additional restaurants and bars, plus all the beauty of the outdoors are right outside the area.
Visitors will love the handcrafted beer selection, served in pint sized, super mugs. While the beer is always good, the food is always exceptional. The menu is filled with all the hickory smoked meats guests could ask for like ribs, pork, and chicken. Calhoun’s has found a way to feature all these flavorful meats into dishes throughout their menu, such as the Rocky Top Potato Skins with BBQ pork, cheese and bacon.
Additional appetizers to start the meal off on a tasty note include the wings. Available by the pound, you can choose your sauce and have Sweet & Spicy Thunder Road Sauce, Traditional “Buffalo” Sauce, or Calhoun’s Bar-B-Que Sauce. There are also fresh baked soft pretzels, served with your choice of warm pretzel mustard or a hot beer cheese dip. Otherwise guests can instead go the Southern route with some fried green tomatoes.
There are plenty of burgers and sandwiches to choose from as well. Guests can also nosh on fresh, crisp salads like the Southern Salad, featuring fried chicken tenders, bacon, egg and cheese or the Bar-B-Que Grilled Chicken Salad with greens, black bean and corn relish, tomatoes, cheese, tortilla strips and bacon, with ranch dressing on the side.
On your visit to Calhoun’s there are plenty of entrees to dine on, including Southern-Fried Catfish, Filet Mignon, and Fish and Chips, along with other satisfying things to have for supper. But you have to test out the Tennessee hickory smoked Bar-B-Que ribs the restaurant is most known for, along with plenty of sides and bread. Side dishes to save room for include the baked cinnamon apples, creamy country slaw, homemade mashed potatoes, and mac ’n cheese. As if there could be room for dessert after all that, homemade options include banana pudding or triple fudge cake.
