The artwork changes monthly, so you are sure to get a fresh perspective on the culture of the city each time you visit.
Phoenix Airport Museum
Sounds strange, doesn’t it? Going to an airport museum? But, your hesitation quickly subsides as you enter the Phoenix Airport Museum at Sky Harbor International Airport. One of the largest airport museums in the country, the Phoenix attraction offers more than 500 works of art displayed in five buildings. No need to worry about going through a security checkpoint. Local Southwest artists have their artwork take flight for all to see. Most of the exhibitions are on display in the terminals. Visitors may view the collections 24 hours a day for free.
Sahuaro Ranch Park Historical Area
This free park in nearby Glendale is one of oldest ranches in the Valley of the Sun. Admission to the 17-acre indoor/outdoor historical area is free as visitors get the chance to explore the history of early settlement in the Phoenix area. The Sahuaro Ranch Park Historical Area exhibits and guided tours cover a rose garden, historic orchards, and 13 original buildings.
