All mixed drinks are not cocktails. But every cocktail is a mixed drink. Sound mixed up? You can learn all about what makes up these tasty concoctions when you visit Arizona during Arizona Cocktail Week.
This food and wine event takes place February 13 -21, 2016, and is considered the top shelf cocktail extravaganza of the Southwest. Veteran bartenders, cocktail aficionados and amateur mixologists, along with the thirsty, are all invited to celebrate the spirit of cocktails through educational seminars, parties and tastings held across the state of Arizona.
Kick off the festivities at OH Pool located on the property of Hotel Valley Ho by taking part in the signature party of the week. This year, you’ll find over 25 different tables and booths including some “Secret Suites” with plenty of attractions and performers.
The Cocktail Carnival is an exciting tasting event that brings in the very best liquor brands in the nation, all there to serve up nonstop sample-sized signature cocktails. Nothing is off limits- try some boozy caramel corn or stop by an Alice-in-Wonderland themed booth with “Drink Me” tonics.
For a truly unique cocktail, include a seminar in the mix when you visit Arizona. These popular informative sessions take place inside the Sands Building at Hotel Valley Ho and cover a wide range of topics. Seminars typically last about 11/2 hours and sell out quickly. A selection of this year’s topics include:
