On the sprawling grounds of the Boyne Mountain Resort facility, the
Alpine Golf Course offers Bluegreen vacationers the opportunity to hit the links and play some world-class golf. You can look forward to fairly tight, tree-lined fairways overlooking the expansive Boyne Mountain landscape. Golfers of every skill level can expect a fair yet challenging round at one of the best Michigan golf courses. The secluded layout, which contains no residential buildings around the championship golf course, welcomes breathtaking views of surrounding Deer Lake.

Alpine Golf Course features 18 challenging holes with a total of 7,045 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Bill Newcomb designed the Alpine course that opened in 1972. The public golf course has a course rating of 73.5 and a slope rating of 136. Both the greens and fairways are covered by bent grass. The greens play fast, roll true and are tricky to read so be sure to focus and check your alignment. Water is in play at seven holes and a total of 72 sand bunkers are located near the landing zones off the tee or greenside. Needless to say, you might want to keep it in the middle.
Many of the holes offer prime views of the rolling terrain. The stunning par five 8
th hole features an elevated tee and is quite challenging. To avoid the sand bunkers, be sure to take care with your second shot. The finishing hole is also quite memorable, sporting a long par five with a pond in front of the tee that requires some skill and maneuvering.
After playing a round on Alpine Golf Course, head to the clubhouse to refuel with some sandwiches and cold beverages. Or, try the full-service restaurant across the street. A fully stocked pro shop is on-site for your convenience as well. Practice putting greens, a targeted grass range, and a short game area with sand bunker are all available for you to hone your golf skills while you enjoy your Bluegreen vacation in Boyne.
