1. Snorkeling and Scuba Diving
A trip to Aruba is not complete without diving into the diverse world under the water. There is a rainbow variety of fish that will swim right up to you. Go a little deeper and ship wrecks from long ago come into sight.
2. Aruba Carnival
This two month-long musical celebration draws all of the locals and visitors out to the streets for vibrant street parades. A few parades to watch for are the Children's Parade and the Tivoli Lighting Parade in which the participants are brilliantly lit with tiny light bulbs.
3. Marandi
Does eating as you watch the sunset entice you? Marandi serves up International and Caribbean influenced foods right on the sand. It is an enjoyable experience for just the two of you or for the whole family.
4. Divi Divi tree
The plant life of the island is typically classified as desert with cacti and brush plants flourishing. The famous Divi Divi tree, acts as a natural compass, bending over in a southwesterly direction due to the trade winds that blow from the Northeast.
5. Horseback riding
There are three tours you can choose from at Rancho Notorious. The first takes you through the countryside and to a lagoon inhabited by many creatures. The second is along the beach. A sand dune trail promises to show you a little bit of everything. Or choose the natural pool trail and take a dip at the end!
6. Eagle Beach
Aruba's beaches are all beautiful. If you are looking for water sports, such as jet skiing, this is the beach to come to.
7. Voluntourism
Aruba has embraced a new movement in traveling called 'voluntourism'. This means that you can actually give back to the island during your stay. The Annual Aruba Reef Care Project invites over 800 people to snorkel, scuba dive, and comb the beaches all in an effort to preserve the islands natural beauty.
8. Amazonia Churrascara
Bring your appetite! Amazonia serves up something for everyone. It is a Brazilian steakhouse that has vegetarian options and is kid-friendly.
9. Submarine Expedition
If you want to see the fish from the comforts of an air-conditioned shelter, try the submarine tour. It lasts about two hours and shows you a beautiful reef as well as shipwreck sites.
10. Aruba's Archeological Museum
A nice way to get a taste of Aruban history is by visiting this landmark. The museum contains artifacts that tell the story of the Aruba-Netherlands connection as well as Aruba's national history.
