Established in the early 1900s as a home for people and families who worked for Milton S. Hershey, Hershey, Pennsylvania today is both a vibrant, active city and a tribute the past. As many buildings and parks were built and established by Hershey, through his efforts to provide a hospitable area for families of workers in his chocolate factory, many buildings have since been added to or reinvented to suit new needs of the community.
The
Crossroads Antique Mall is a perfect example of reinvention to suit new needs. Originally used as housing for orphaned children who worked on the farm in exchange for education and board, the building was converted into an antique shop once the farm closed. Now named “My Wife’s Antiques,” the huge barn is a co-op for dozens of antique dealers and filled with antique furniture, pottery, glass, dolls, toys and other artifacts – including Hershey memorabilia.

Crossroads Antiques, less than two miles from The Suites at Hershey, is the perfect place to spend a morning, day or weekend wandering through the halls. Different displays throughout the antique shop include chests filled with 1950s memorabilia; homemade quilts, tools, baskets and furniture; antique china, porcelain, silver, stemware and linens and paintings by iconic artists such as Foxx, Parrish and Nutting.
Crossroads Antiques is open year round from Thursday to Monday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and every day during the months of June, July and August. Other events occur during the year, such as the Valentine Tea, AACA Eastern National Antique & Classic Car Show and seasonal displays. With so much to offer the avid antiquer, Crossroads Antiques is a great place to take a stroll through when visiting Hershey Pennsylvania. Thanks to its close proximity to Bluegreen’s The Suites at Hershey, you won’t have to travel far to find your new favorite lamp!
