Bluegreen's Shenandoah Crossing has so much to offer its visitors; it's hard to tell them where to start sometimes. As Shenandoah Crossing vacationers come for the beautiful scenery and family-friendly atmosphere, Bluegreen has made plenty of onsite amenities available to guests, including outdoor pools, a clubhouse, gameroom, lake and even horse stables. The
Shenandoah Crossing Equestrian Center, sprawled across the rolling hills of the countryside resort, houses over three-dozen horses, a brood of chickens, some peacocks and Jacob, the turkey who cheerfully welcomes all barn visitors. All animals make their homes in the red barns situated on the property.
Hop on a horse and tour the Shenandoah Valley just as our forefathers did. All visitors of Bluegreen's Shenandoah Crossing resort are welcome to make reservations for wagon, carriage or horseback rides. With plenty of packages to choose from, you can ensure your trip to the stables will be a success. Whether it's a relaxing carriage ride through the valley, or a rigorous trail ride through the steep mountainsides that you are looking for, Shenandoah Crossing Equestrian Center has horses for every occasion.

Bluegreen recommends making reservations for your rides in advance. The beautiful weather in Shenandoah Valley typically prompts many people to venture outside, which tends to lead them towards the green pastures of the Equestrian Center. The reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Riders must be at least eight years old, and 50 inches tall. The Shenandoah Crossing Equestrian Center also requires riders to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled departure, to cover safety and information on horsemanship.
If you think you're up for a trail ride during your trip to Shenandoah Crossing, call the folks at the Equestrian Center before your arrival and schedule a trip. They can answer any questions you may have and let you know what to expect.
