Living Large: Bluegreen Presidential Suites

Times are changing in the vacation industry. That’s because consumer priorities are changing. To more and more couples and families planning vacations nowadays, amenities matter. Clean rooms, big screen TVs, full kitchens, hot tubs and fitness centers are fine, but vacationers now want more from their accommodations than simply to function as places to eat, bathe and sleep. They want something more roomy, comfortable and experiential.

Bluegreen Vacations is one company that’s responded on point to the increasing demand for larger accommodations with more amenities. In the past few years, Bluegreen has expanded its portfolio of Presidential Suites to more and more resorts. And the process is ongoing.

Presidential Suites are the ultimate luxury vacation accommodations, offering the utmost style and panache in the most comfortable setting possible. Bluegreen introduced its first Presidential Suite at Daytona SeaBreeze in Daytona Beach, Florida. Next came two at Bluegreen Club 36™ in Las Vegas and a whole floor of them at The Fountains in Orlando. Today Presidentials are also available at additional resorts from coast to coast: Big Bear Lake, California; Peoria, Arizona; Aspen, Colorado; three different resorts in the Missouri Ozarks outside Branson; Savannah, Georgia; Williamsburg, Virginia; Dennis Port, Cape Cod, Massachusetts; and Lincoln, New Hampshire. In 2016, Bluegreen will introduce, among others, 12 more Presidentials at Paradise Point in Missouri; eight more at Cibola Vista Resort and Spa near Phoenix; and 10 at a brand-new, Blue Ridge Mountains resort in Cashiers, North Carolina, called Club Lodges at Trillium.

The Cliffs at Long CreekThree-Bedroom Vacation Units

Presidential Suites, all at least three-bedroom, allow more people to share vacation experiences. The individual design, architecture and decor vary from property to property. At the Cliffs at Long Creek in Ridgedale, Missouri, the Presidential units are individual five-bedroom homes that sleep 13 on the shores of Table Rock Lake. At Parkside Williamsburg Resort, they’re two- and three-story Colonials—accommodations for up to 10—on a manicured cul de sac within Virginia’s Historic Triangle. The exclusive amenities include everything from upgraded counter tops to game rooms and media rooms. At Williamsburg, among elsewhere, you’ll find televisions embedded in bathroom mirrors.

Suddenly, vacationers have not only more comfort and onsite experiences, but also greater flexibility for sharing the fun with more family members or loved ones. At the Cliffs, for example Mom and Dad can assign themselves to one master suite, Grandma and Grandpa to the other, and the kids to their own rooms. It’s a perfect vacation for three generations. There’s privacy for everyone and common areas large enough for entire family activities. Presidentials at The Cliffs offer not only a pool table, but also a media room for movies or sports on the 92-inch TV.
