The official South Carolina Barbeque Championship and Kansas City Barbeque Society Cook-off is held during the BBQ festival, offering up some saucy competition as teams work feverishly to cook the best ribs and chicken for prizes. Sample delectable shrimp Creole and homemade ice cream at the “Anything Goes Contest and tasting event.”
Looking for family fun crafts and art pieces to bring home as souvenirs? Crafts vendors sell jewelry, children’s clothing and other unique items, while local artists showcase their masterpieces for your viewing pleasure. Bring the young ones to the Kids Zone to enjoy inflatable cartoon favorites and fun games. Witness thrilling high-flying stunts during the Wakeboarding demonstrations. Myrtle Beach Car Club sponsors the Wheels at the Beach car show for all of the auto buffs out there. Check out over 200 classic and antique cars and trucks displayed on the beautiful Myrtle Beach oceanfront.
The Beach, Boogie and BBQ Festival, organized by the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, is held at Grand Park across the Market Common. The festival officially ends the Sun Fun Summer of Celebration.
