As anyone who has grown up in the United States can tell you, the mention of Orlando, Florida evokes images of a giant mouse and fantastical architecture. Disney World is as integral a part of Orlando as are the palm trees and alligators. As any Bluegreen owner can tell you, visiting the famous theme parks is easy from each Orlando resort. If you're planning an Orlando vacation over the Christmas holiday, take a trip to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas. The spectacle of 200,000 lights is a sight for all eyes.
Whether you're staying at The Fountains or Orlando's Sunshine Resort, you're only minutes away from
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. On select nights from November 8 through December 18, the Magic Kingdom will be transformed into a breathtaking Christmas wonderland, complete with wreaths, bows, garlands and sky-high Christmas trees. The already magical place is made more marvelous with Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, fireworks displays and a magical snowfall along Main Street, USA. Needless to say, there is also plenty of live entertainment by guests and beloved Disney characters.

Every night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins with the ceremonial lighting of Cinderella Castle. Upon flipping the switch, the castle is transformed into a crystalline Winter Wonderland scene. The soft blue lighting of the towers creates a beautiful backdrop for the hundreds of thousands of white lights that drape the steeples. The illuminated castle becomes a distant centerpiece for the entire park, helping to create the feeling that you are living in that enchanted world of Disney, complete with elves, princesses and giant, talking Mice.
Participating in Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a must-do for any Orlando visitor or resident, regardless of age. It is family friendly, but, like most children's movies today, entertaining for the adult viewer. Don't let the fear of fantasy keep you away from such a beautiful sight. Orlando wouldn't be Orlando without Magic, and a traveler wouldn't be a true tourist without visiting Disney. What better way to eat, drink and be merry during your Bluegreen Orlando vacation, than with the Merry Mouse himself?
