While Boyne Mountain is the Midwest’s largest ski area, there are activities for every season at Bluegreen‘s Mountain Run at Boyne resort. After the snow melts, the cross-country ski trails transform into challenging hiking and biking trails.

Get a foursome together for a round of golf at two championship golf courses at Mountain Run at Boyne or for a match on the tennis courts. For a fun family outing, pay a visit to nearby Deer Lake for boating, fishing, swimming and kayaking.

Boyne Mountain comes to life in the winter. Skiers can take advantage of 14 lifts and more than 50 trails for all skill levels. Snowboarders can slide and jump their way through the terrain park. Plus, some Mountain Run at Boyne villas offer guests the ability to ski in/ski out at the base of the Super Bowl, one of the most popular black-diamond runs. After an exhilarating day on the slopes, head to Snowflake Lounge for a warm toddy and live entertainment.

If you prefer an indoor workout instead, Mountain Run at Boyne’s fitness center houses a comprehensive collection of cardio and weight-training equipment. To relax your aching muscles, you’ll want to soak in the indoor hot tub. Or you can simply stretch out in front of the fireplace in your cozy villa and let your cares melt away.

Accommodations

There’s nothing quite like having a nice, cozy, three-bedroom villa complete with a warm fireplace waiting for you after a day on the slopes. The same can be said after a long day of mountain biking, hiking, or golfing. It doesn’t matter what time of year it is in Boyne because you’ll always have a relaxing place to call your home-away-from-home. Cook a hearty meal in your full kitchen, relax in front of the fireplace and watch your favorite DVD, or sit out on your balcony and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Each three-bedroom villa comes equipped with all the amenities you’ll need to enjoy your vacation.

We (my wife and I) reserved a one bedroom (unit 1122B) using points as Bluegreen Owners. The room was immaculate. The bed (queen) was very comfortable and the soundproofing was pretty good. We had multiple neighbors using the adjoining unit A during our one week stay and we were not disturbed by noise (although it was possible to hear their comings and goings through the shared foyer).
Service was excellent from the Front Desk to the Maintenance and Housekeeping. (No automatic linen change, but that doesn’t bother us.) We run low on toilet paper, called the desk and within 10 minutes two rolls were delivered to our door. The only other maintenance issue was when we found the toaster did not work. Again, within ten minutes, someone was at the door. They double checked the GFI outlets just to be sure there was not a larger issue (there was not), and switched out the toaster with a brand new one. We discovered the Smoke Alarm worked just fine at that point (LOL) because a brand new toaster needs to set a bit lower. The alarm went off BEFORE there was any visible smoke from the burnt toast. That actually made us feel safer. The kitchen was well appointed with a full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, and all the needed utensils and place settings.
There was a washer/dryer in the shared foyer, which we (and our neighbors) utilized.
The only suggestions we would make is to have a much darker blind on the bedroom door to the balcony and a light fixture be added to the ceiling fan in bedroom. The main window had full blackout drapes but the light coming in through the sheer blind on the door could be annoying to late sleepers. There was only one bedside lamp in the bedroom, which made it a bit too dark.
The sofa in the main room was very comfortable, considering it was sleeper sofa and those are notorious for being better beds than couches.
We were there in June, so no snow, but there appeared to be plenty of (lockable) storage in the shared areas for equpment and gear. We used the gas fireplace one cool evening and the balcony on several pleasant days. Overall, another fine trip to a Bluegreen property.

Boyne is a great place to see fall colors, but you’d better go now… the colors are almost at peak (a little early this year)!! Middle of October might be too late :(

Boyne is a beautiful city. We stayed at Mountain Run two years ago. It was quiet, nice rooms, great service. Worth the trip. Can’t wait to go again.

My husband and our two kids have been staying at Boyne for the past 6 years. We love this Resort. We have younger children. They are now 9 and 10 years old. They have there own bedrooms, which is Awesome! The only thing I would suggust is if you have younger children, request a lower level room. If the children are crying the walls can be a little thin, esp. at night, also its too much work to carry all your things up all those steps. Other than that this is a must see, must stay at Resort. The snow is very pretty in December and a lot of it.
